MB&F HM11 Architect watch comes with a new winding case Three years after launching the HM10 Bulldog, watchmaker MB&F has unveiled its latest creation, the HM11 Architect. True to the brand’s signature playful craftsmanship, the HM11 features an architecturally inspired case with a central flying tourbillon and four arms, each with a vertical display or crown.

Sixteen years after launching its first product, MB&F remains committed to preserving and conveying the original spirit of creating watches based on innovative elements. This is clearly reflected in the latest version of the watch, the HM11 Architect, which has an impressive case and screen. The case is built around the idea of a house, with four symmetrical rooms and a dome made of sapphire crystal.

The case diameter is 42 mm, which is very compact and fits better on the wrist than previous production versions. Both versions of the HM11 Architect are made of titanium. The first watch comes in an electric blue, aptly named “Ozone Blue” by the brand, while the second has a “salmon” dial, which the brand describes as capturing the “warm tones” of the red gold sun.

Entering the watch’s mechanics, the barrel and tourbillon take center stage. The display is different from the usual dial arrangement. The vertical display pays homage to the HM4 launched in 2010. The display at six o'clock shows the hours and minutes, and there is a power reserve indicator at nine o'clock. In addition, the crown at three o'clock can be used to set the time.

The display at 12 o’clock is an old-fashioned bimetallic strip thermometer with a temperature range of -20 to +60 degrees Celsius, which is quite impressive and adds a lot of character to the watch.

It is worth noting that winding the watch is not done through the crown at 3 o'clock, but by turning the entire case. MB&F says the case can be centrally wound by just 10 turns, powering the watch for 96 hours.
